"**Inbox**\n\n- Priority, snooze, and `Done` / `Reopen` controls now appear directly above the inbox editor.\n- Inbox items can now be appended to an existing note from the item menu, list row, or detail view.\n- Tag selection has been removed from the breadcrumb and is now available in the Properties section, consistent with regular notes.\n\n**Performance**\n\n- Note popouts and Quick Capture now open faster and feel more responsive.\n- Larger workspaces should load and switch between notes more smoothly, especially when using filtered views.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Wikilinks from other markdown editors now resolve correctly even when they don’t include the full path. If a wikilink uniquely matches a note anywhere in the workspace, that note opens on click and appears in the sidebar. For example, `[[621 - Image URL paste]]` will look for a unique note with that exact name across the entire workspace, not only at the root.\n- The app no longer treats `.claude`, `.cursor`, and `.opencode` as hardcoded excluded folders, and will be shown in the tree.\n- Action buttons above the editor now position themselves correctly when a custom width is set.\n- Quickly sort completed tasks to the bottom of their respective lists (items inside nested task lists move to the bottom of the same nested list) via the breadcrumb options or `CMD/Ctrl + K → Sort Tasks`\n- A new setting is made available in `Preferences > Show Task Completion Count` to always show the count near the Pie.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n- Ask Octarine can now explicitly mention `Inbox` and `Template` folders.\n- Calendar note previews now stay fixed beside the calendar and show properties in a cleaner row layout.\n- The file tree bulk selection bar can now duplicate selected notes and folders\n- The Tags tree now renders large tag lists more smoothly.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where license activation could be submitted more than once, and the activation dialog now closes after a successful activation.\n- Fixed the note folder picker accepting an accidental selection before it is ready.\n- Fixed wikilinks normalizing note paths across platforms, including notes created from the wikilink menu.\n- Fixed copied math markdown so LaTeX commands are not over-escaped, display math keeps its indentation, and single-line `$$...$$` blocks normalize more reliably.\n- Fixed typing `$$...$$` on a line so it turns into a math block.\n- Fixed the global sidebar preview lingering when the sidebar is toggled open or closed.\n- Fixed `Cmd/Ctrl + O` not opening Ask Octarine.\n- Fixed bold text rendering with an incorrect font weight instead of `700`.\n- Fixed the Views `tags` filter so it includes frontmatter tags in listings.\n"

"**Note Types**\n\n- `.octarine/types.json` now behave as source of truth for note types and the app actively watches for external changes made to it.\n- Note Type is now available as a filter and column in **Views** with a dedicated cell with the correct color and icon.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Local AI providers now don’t run into CORS errors.\n- Windows tray icons now adapt to the system theme.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed closing Octarine on Windows so the app exits cleanly when expected instead of leaving tray state behind or closing incorrectly.\n- Fixed `Backspace` on an empty list item so it removes the item and places the cursor at the end of the previous list item.\n- Fixed `Duplicate` action not working when used from the breadcrumb options.\n- Fixed loading toasts so custom spinner icons render with the expected styling.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n- Mermaid Diagrams can now be viewed in fullscreen with zoom options.\n- `CMD/Ctrl + E` for inline code now works similar to bold/italic instead of just being applied for one character when used without selection.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where `CMD + W` to close the window would leave it in the dock but not accessible.\n- Fixed Quick Capture dismissing in a way that could leave focus on Octarine instead of returning to the previous app.\n- Fixed assistant streams updating or saving the wrong message when retries and overlapping stream state interacted.\n- Fixed collapsible-list controls appearing in read-only editor.\n- Fixed inline code typing losing formatting too early or eating adjacent typed characters.\n"

"**Workspace Search**\n\nSearch is easier to use and better at finding what you mean in large workspaces. Filters are now closer to the search controls, show when active, and can limit results to a specific folder.\n- Multi-word searches now match notes containing all terms, not just exact strings.\n- Quoted phrases still search as exact phrases.\n- Improved performance.\n\n**Inbox**\n\n- Untitled captures now show a useful first-line/content fallback in the Inbox list and note sheet instead of falling back to `No title` too early.\n- Fixed `inbox_number` duplication issue.\n- Improved inbox search and load performance.\n- Snoozed items are pushed to the bottom when sorted by `Priority`.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- File tree searches for notes, properties, tags, templates, and views now include a clear `x` button and clear on `Escape` when text is present.\n- The attachments popover now uses the shared search field, cleaner `Media` / `Files` tabs, an `Unused` toggle with count, and a direct `Delete unused` action.\n- The property panel now places `Add property` below the property rows.\n- Nested list guide lines in the editor now align more consistently irrespective of bullet/screen length.\n- Writing Assistant now retains the last viewed chat, so reopening the sidebar lands you there instead of a fresh chat.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed Quick Capture dismissal on macOS so closing or submitting the capture window deactivates Octarine instead of bringing another Octarine window to the front.\n- Fixed Quick Capture and Inbox tag/priority tooltips so they do not appear while their popovers are open.\n- Fixed editor and read-only preview themes updating when the system appearance changes between light and dark mode.\n- Fixed the tray icon not respecting the toolbar colorscheme on lighter wallpapers.\n"

"**Inbox**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_43_0_inbox_quick_capture.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\nOctarine now has a dedicated Inbox for lightweight capture and triage. It behaves like a focused workspace area: open it from the sidebar, scan captures in an email-style list, and work through Active and Done without turning every thought into a full note first.\n\n- The Inbox list is grouped into Active and Done sections with compact metadata for priority, snooze, and age.\n- Captures can be converted into regular notes with a folder picker or appended to today’s daily note.\n\n**Quick Capture**\n\nQuick Capture is now a fast popout for getting something into Octarine without switching context. It opens as its own lightweight window, stays warm in the background, and can save to either Inbox or your daily note.\n\n- Open Quick Capture globally with `Ctrl + Option/Alt + Space` or via the dedicated Tray button.\n- Pick the target workspace (defaults to last used workspace) directly from the Quick Capture window before saving.\n- Switch between Inbox and daily-note capture with `Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + J`; Octarine remembers the chosen destination per workspace. Daily note additions are `appended`.\n- Priority and tag popovers support keyboard-friendly workflows such as `Cmd/Ctrl + P`, number keys `0`-`4`, `Cmd/Ctrl + T`, arrow navigation, `Enter`, and layered `Escape` dismissal.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Added title sorting `A-Z` and `Z-A` to workspace search.\n- Nested bullet, ordered, and task lists now show subtle vertical guide lines.\n- Older dates now include the year automatically when your preferred date format does not already include one (in Search, Daily desk).\n- Sidebar actions were tightened: Notes, Templates, Views, and Ask Octarine now place creation and action controls beside search more consistently.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed `Cmd/Ctrl + P` opening the pinned popover when it should be available for other workflows.\n- Fixed an issue where long running notes would not be entirely exported as PDF.\n- Fixed dropdown and context-menu triggers not showing the open hover state consistently.\n"

"### Pinned Notes\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_42_2_pinned.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\nPinned notes and folders now appear in the app’s top breadcrumb, making them accessible at all times — even when the sidebar is closed or when you’re not in notes view.\n\n### Improvements\n\n- Graph view now supports `properties` and displays all their connections.\n- You can now search for property value occurrences in the workspace using the `[key: value]` syntax (e.g., `[status:done]`).\n- Quickly insert a link using the `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + K` shortcut. The link container no longer defaults to `https://`, allowing you to paste any value freely.\n- When pasting a link without a label, it will now use the markdown link syntax by default, instead of storing it as `<link>`.\n- Uncreated or broken wikilinks will now create notes in the **Default folder** instead of at the root.\n- Wikilink suggestions in properties are now more performant and can be attached with a single click.\n- Added `web search` support for Google, xAI, and Groq. Removed hardcoded model names from `openai`-compatible providers for web search tooling.\n\n### Fixes\n\n- Fixed an issue where `Related Notes` would not display in the properties tab, even if present in the markdown.\n- The file watching algorithm has been relaxed: it now triggers only when the modified time differs between the file system and the internal database, rather than on every window focus.\n"

"### Properties and Note Types\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_42_0_properties.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\nProperties now live in the Meta sidebar instead of taking space inside the editor. Use the properties count chip in the editor, or `⌘/Ctrl + Shift + ;`, to jump straight to them.\n\n- You can now create workspace note types from Settings. A note type bundles a name, icon, color, and a set of properties, so notes like tasks, reading notes, and projects can start from a consistent structure.\n- New workspaces get starter note types for `Task`, `Reading`, and `Project`, each with useful default properties and descriptions.\n- Applying a note type to a note fills it with that type’s fields, and AI property generation now uses the selected type and field descriptions to fill only the expected values.\n- The Properties UI has been redesigned for the Meta sidebar, with compact rows, better tag/list editing, cleaner date and checkbox controls, and improved empty states.\n\n### Workspace Windows\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_42_0_workspace_windows.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\nYou can now keep different workspaces open in separate windows. Plain-click a workspace in the switcher to switch the current window, or use `⌘ + click` (`Ctrl + click` on Windows/Linux) to open that workspace in a new window.\n\n- The workspace switcher, command palette, and app menu now understand the difference between `Switch Workspace Here` and `Open Workspace in New Window`, so choosing an already-open workspace brings its existing window forward instead of duplicating it.\n- Files and folders can now be copied to another workspace from the file tree context menu using `Copy to Different Workspace`. Folder copies are recursive, and duplicate names are handled automatically.\n\n### Note Popouts\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_42_0_note_popouts.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\nNotes can now be opened in their own lightweight window using `Open Note in New Window` from the file tree, the tab context menu, or the app menu. The shortcut is `⌘ + ⌥ + O` on macOS. Windows has it as `Ctrl + Alt + U`\n\n- Popout windows include the note editor, a focused titlebar, and the Meta sidebar when it is open, making them useful for keeping a reference note beside your main workspace.\n\n### Performance\n\nThe editor now delays heavier startup work until after the first paint, so notes can appear faster when opening or switching tabs.\n\n- Switching between editor tabs is smoother because Octarine reuses more editor state instead of fully remounting the editor each time.\n\n### Improvements\n\n- Views now consider tags available in the body while filtering for results.\n- Related notes tab now only runs computations on load of the note, and not on every save to reduce CPU usage. You can manually run the computation via the button anytime.\n- DateTime property now respects the 24 hour time setting from preferences when displaying.\n\n### Fixes\n\n- Fixed an issue where the editor could reset after Octarine detected its own save as a file change.\n- Fixed editor flicker when switching between tabs.\n- Fixed the Meta sidebar for notes that have not been created on disk yet.\n- Fixed an issue where `Backspace` or `Delete` could be treated as browser back navigation inside the app.\n- Fixed an issue where opening the same note in two splits caused the cursor to jump when saving edits.\n- Fixed an issue where pressing `Enter` at the start of a checked task item created a blank checked task above it and changed the previous checked task to unchecked.\n- Fixed an issue where View layout select would not show up over the popover overlay.\n- Fixed an issue where scrolling views with grouped headers would overlap with the main header row.\n\n### Changes\n\nNew workspaces now have copy with formatting set to `CMD/Ctrl + C` instead of the `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + C` . Existing workspaces have been migrated to the new setting had you chosen the `Invert Copy shortcuts` setting to be toggled ON.\n"

"**Hotfix**\n\n- Fixed cursor jumps on save for iCloud workspaces.\n"

"**Improvements**\n- Improved the performance of `CMD/Ctrl + P` for longer string queries.\n- Longer doclinks now wrap correctly across multiple lines instead of leaving wasted whitespace.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Fixed an issue where typing in a math syntax note caused the cursor to shift to the next line after each save.\n- Fixed the activate button not disabling in certain cases during activation requests.\n"

"**Improvements**\n- Image and videos now work inside table cells.\n- Improved command bar search performance for larger workspaces.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Fixed display and save issues in long notes, including false “modified” changes and blank/jumpy rendering.\n- Fixed the issue where the **Migrate Incomplete Tasks** button continued to appear after a successful task migration due to cache issues.\n"

"**Graph View**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_41_0_graph.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- The graph view has been rewritten on HTML canvas, so large workspaces stay smooth and interactive — node hit-testing, label rendering, and redraws are all batched and viewport-aware.\n- A new options popover (gear icon in the graph header) lets you tune the graph per workspace: `Repel force`, `Link distance`, `Link strength`, and `Center force` for the physics, plus `Node size`, `Link opacity`, `Link thickness`, and `Label zoom threshold` for display.\n- Filter the graph by hiding orphan nodes or setting a minimum connection count to focus on hub notes.\n- All settings persist per-workspace and can be reset to defaults from the same popover.\n\n**References**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_41_0_backlinks.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- The inline backlinks panel has been replaced with a dedicated `References` sheet — opened from a row above the title, from the new `View References` command, or with the `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + R` shortcut.\n- Each reference now shows the full structural block — paragraph, list item, heading, or blockquote — that contains the hit, with the matched term highlighted.\n- Results are split into `Linked` references and `Mentions` — bare title matches that aren't yet wiki-linked. Mentions get a one-click `Link` action that converts them into a `[[wiki-link]]` in place.\n- The sheet is virtualized, so notes with hundreds of references stay responsive. Sort by A→Z, Z→A, or recency from the header dropdown.\n- Frontmatter `[[wiki-links]]` now also count toward the reference badge shown above the title.\n- Mentions inside markdown links (`[text](url)`), images, and code blocks are correctly **excluded** from the results.\n\n**Editor Typography**\n\n- New `Paragraph Spacing` and `List Spacing` sliders in `Settings → Editor → Typography` let you tune the vertical rhythm of your notes.\n\n**Performance**\n\n- Major data-fetching rewrite under the hood — Octarine now uses better caching, bringing fewer redundant disk reads and noticeably fewer re-renders when many notes are open.\n- Cold workspace open does roughly half the database reads it used to, and editing or saving a note no longer cascades re-renders into unrelated panels.\n- Reduced memory usage on large workspaces & improved tab switches.\n- Workspace search and related-notes computation are less janky during typing.\n- Improved codeblock rendering performance when on a custom theme.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- New `Keep inactive split panes at full opacity` setting in `Settings → Preferences` for users who don't want the focused-pane dimming effect.\n- License errors and the Pro settings page now show a `Manage Devices` button that links to your dashboard at octarine.app, making it easy to free up an activation slot.\n- The Properties panel now shows the property's type icon next to its name in the editor.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed custom themes not applying correctly to code blocks — particularly custom dark themes, which would render with light syntax colors until the editor was reloaded.\n- Fixed an issue where toggling the `Show dot-folders` setting wouldn't update the file tree until you switched workspaces.\n- Fixed Kanban property chips and a duplicated name field that appeared in some card configurations.\n- Fixed list spacing being subtly looser than before after the typography sliders were introduced.\n- Fixed an inline filter field issue on Views.\n\n**Deprecated**\n\n- The backlinks panel in the Meta sidebar and backlinks panel at the bottom of the editor are now replaced with the new References sheet.\n - `Settings > Editor > Show Inline Backlinks` setting has been removed.\n"

"**Fixes**\n- Fixed an issue where refreshing the file tree (`Refresh File Tree` / `Refresh Workspace`) could leave the sidebar empty until a real filesystem event happened. The cache is now rebuilt whenever it's been cleared, regardless of whether the workspace folder's modified time has changed.\n- Fixed right-click (and `Ctrl + Click` on macOS) on a file tree entry accidentally opening the file or toggling the folder while bringing up the context menu. The context-menu gesture now only opens the menu.\n- Fixed focus bouncing back to the previously viewed note in the file tree after dismissing a context menu or popover.\n- Fixed an issue where double-clicking `Activate` in the license dialog could fire the activation request twice. The button now stays disabled while the request is in flight.\n- Fixed the `Delete Workspace` button losing its red destructive styling in some situations.\n"

"**Git Sync**\n- You can now toggle Git management on or off per workspace with the new `Manage Git in Octarine` switch in Git Sync settings. Turning it off stops Octarine from committing, pulling, or pushing — without removing the underlying Git repository. The Git Sync icon in the breadcrumb is also hidden while management is off.\n- Fixed an issue where Octarine would detect a parent folder's Git repository and incorrectly treat the workspace as Git-enabled. Git Sync now only recognizes a repository if the `.git` metadata lives directly inside the workspace.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Fixed an issue where the cursor would jump to the start of the document while actively typing — caused by the editor resetting its position during background file-watcher updates and history clears.\n- Fixed the icon picker appearing shrunken in views & folder customisations.\n- Fixed ignored file paths in Git Sync settings not displaying correctly on Windows due to slash separators.\n"

"**Improvements**\n- As a safeguard against data loss, the `undo` operation is blocked immediately after `Migrate Incomplete Tasks` is processed. This prevents you from accidentally losing migrated tasks from both the new and old notes.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Fixed an issue where indentation in the `Outline` would not automatically correct itself after deleting the largest header in a note.\n- Fixed an issue where opening `Ask Octarine` would briefly show the model download screen for a split second.\n- Fixed an issue where the Stats section and the Editor Stats bar would display `0` values until the note was updated.\n\n**Changes**\n- In `Settings → GitSync`, the last synced time now appears as a relative time, such as `20 minutes ago`, with the exact timestamp shown in a tooltip.\n- In Views, when a `tags`-based filter is applied, an info banner now appears to indicate that only tags in properties are considered in the results.\n"

"**Collapsible Lists & Tasks**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_40_0_collapsible.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- Bullet lists and task lists with nested children now show a collapse chevron on hover — click it to fold the nested items out of sight, keeping long outlines manageable.\n - Collapse state (headings, codeblocks, lists & tasks) are persisted automatically, so collapsed sections stay collapsed when you restart the app.\n\n**Performance**\n- Significantly reduced CPU and memory usage across the app — typing, idle, and workspace switching are all lighter.\n- Improved workspace watching functions to be more performant and less power consuming.\n- Reduced CPU spikes during workspace indexing.\n- Embedding pruning for large workspaces is now much faster.\n\n**Improvements**\n- Date cells in Views now respect your preferred date format.\n- Ask Octarine & Writing Assistant now shows error messages as toasts when something goes wrong, instead of failing silently.\n- The task migration flow uses fewer file operations, making it faster and more reliable.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Fixed numeric sorting for grouped Views not ordering correctly.\n- Fixed an issue where typing `<` or `>` would result in the markdown save converting them to `&lt;` and `&gt;`\n- Fixed a feedback loop where internal file writes to `.octarine/` would trigger workspace re-scans, burning CPU even when idle.\n- Fixed editor state from one workspace leaking into another when switching workspaces.\n- Fixed an issue where corrupt or unreadable config files could silently overwrite valid data on the next save.\n- Fixed x-callback URL parameters being double-encoded, which broke integrations like Hookmark.\n- Fixed an issue where tags listed in properties did not appear in the tags tree after switching workspaces until a tag was modified.\n- Fixed Related Notes not working after a fresh restart until the user opened Ask Octarine during that session.\n- Fixed properties adding a blank line to the end of the frontmatter when saving.\n"

"**URI Scheme**\n\n- A new `getCurrentNote` deeplink action returns the URL and title of the currently open note via x-callback-url. This enables integration with tools like Hookmark for bidirectional linking between Octarine notes and other apps. Read it in the [docs](https://docs.octarine.app/workflows/uri-scheme)\n\n**Performance**\n\n- Reduced CPU usage when the app is in the background.\n- Optimised database lookups and removed stale connections when switching workspaces.\n- Improved performance of reacting to external app changes to the current viewing file (like an agent writing to the current note or from another app).\n- Fixed tab switching slowness that would occur when the workspace search was open.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Unresolved wiki links are now clearly displayed in the Meta sidebar with their link name and a yellow warning icon, rather than disappearing without notice. Clicking on these links will create the corresponding note at that location.\n- Video player now displays a small duration chip when the video isn’t playing.\n- External images (using standard markdown `![alt](url)` syntax) now appear in the Attached Media sidebar with a globe icon, along with \"Open in Browser\" and \"Copy URL\" context menu options.\n- The editor toolbar for external images shows an open-in-browser button and a globe badge overlay to distinguish them from local images.\n- `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + ,` is now a keyboard shortcut for copying the Octarine URL of the current note.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where pasting frontmatter content would affect both split panes instead of only the active one.\n- Fixed the resize drag handle on videos hijacking the progress bar scrubber, making it impossible to seek through the video.\n- Fixed tab bar action buttons (new tab, split pane) shifting layout when switching between focused and unfocused panes.\n"

"Octarine now offers a 7-day free trial — try out all Pro features before purchasing a license. New installs are automatically onboarded on the trial while existing users can opt-in whenever they wish to start it.\n\n**Split Panes**\n\n- The inactive panes now have reduced opacity, so it's easier to see which editor/pane you're using in split view.\n- Action buttons in the tab bar only appear for the active pane.\n\n**Command Bar**\n\n- The current note’s name is displayed similar to a section header, and is the first set of actions available in the command bar.\n- Two new actions — `Copy Content` and `Copy Content with Properties` — let you quickly copy a note's markdown to the clipboard, with or without its frontmatter properties. These are also available in the note breadcrumb’s more options dropdown.\n\n**Performance**\n\n- Improved filesystem sync performance.\n- Fixed memory leaks.\n- Embedding indexing now only runs when you're actively using Ask Octarine, rather than continuously in the background.\n- Improved performance of the file tree for larger workspaces.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- You can choose to include properties during export for notes that have them.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed image export for HTML and DOCX — images that appeared in the editor were silently failing to export due to a security policy restriction.\n- Fixed nested task item indentation being lost in DOCX exports.\n- Fixed short documents failing to generate embeddings with a \"no chunks\" error.\n- Fixed an issue where file tree sorting would mess up for numeric values in the name for natural sorting.\n"

"**Block Math**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_38_1_block_math.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- LaTeX math equations can now be written and rendered as display blocks using the `/math` slash command or by pressing `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + M`.\n- If the `Render Math Equations` setting is disabled, attempting to insert a math block will display a helpful notification with a shortcut to access Settings and enable the feature.\n\n**Doclinks**\n- Clicking a doclink now opens an inline sheet preview of the linked note. To open the note in a new tab, use `CMD/Ctrl + Click`. This consistent behavior applies to editor doclinks, references, data table cells, and property wikilinks.\n- When clicking a doclink within a sheet, the current note is added to a history stack. A back button will appear in the sheet header, allowing you to easily navigate back along your path.\n\n**Improvements**\n- Writing Assistant now shows the current note as a visible context chip when it's being used as implicit context, making it easy to clear if you want to ask a general question instead.\n- Pasting code into an existing code block no longer inserts extra markdown fence syntax — the fences are automatically stripped so only the code content is pasted.\n- Clicking `Daily Desk` when the calendar is already visible now highlights it with a brief pulse animation, so you can quickly spot it.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Fixed template properties not being applied when creating notes via the URI scheme.\n- Fixed Doclink sheet navigation including duplicate notes.\n\n**Deprecated**\n- The `Doclink Click Behaviour` setting has been discontinued and is no longer available.\n"

"**Ask Octarine**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_36_0_ask_octarine.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- The chat landing page has been redesigned with a centered prompt box and compact suggested prompts below — a cleaner starting point for your conversations.\n- The prompt box now supports inline `@` mentions — type `@` to search and reference specific notes or folders directly in your prompt, with styled mention chips that appear in both the input and the chat query bubble.\n- The prompt box has been split into a two-part layout — the textarea on top with a toolbar below for model selection, web search, and help.\n- The prompt textarea now collapses during AI generation, keeping the stop button visible while saving space.\n- Ask Octarine now understands Octarine's custom markdown syntax — highlights, colored text, underlines, and callouts — so it can reproduce them accurately when referencing your notes.\n- Search results are now more accurate thanks to improved embedding indexing — frontmatter is stripped before chunking, chunks are properly sized for the model, and date-based queries are smarter.\n- The indexing progress bar now shows real progress instead of a simulated animation.\n- Notes used as references are now displayed as footnotes in the chat, showing only the specific block of text relevant to each statement or retrieval.\n- The `Ask / Create` toggle has been removed. Octarine now intelligently determines the appropriate action for each query without requiring a mode switch.\n\n**Writing Assistant**\n\n- The context selector has been removed. The current note is now automatically included as context, and you can add additional context by using the `@` mention feature for folders and notes.\n- The design of the Prompt box has been updated to match the style used in Ask Octarine.\n\n**Editor**\n\n- Select text and type a bracket or quote character (`(`, `[`, `{`, `\"`, `'`, `backslash`) to automatically wrap the selection with the matching pair. This can be toggled in `Settings > Editor`.\n- Toggle task checkboxes on and off with `Ctrl/CMD + Enter` — no need to click the checkbox.\n\n**Performance**\n\n- Switching between notes and tabs no longer causes the properties panel to flicker — the panel now updates in place instead of fully unmounting and remounting.\n- Splitting or moving tabs is now instant — pane cleanup runs synchronously, eliminating empty tab bars and zombie panes that could briefly appear.\n- Embedding indexing is significantly faster with proper chunk sizing and batched processing, and the progress bar now reflects real progress.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Settings have been reorganized into clearer, more logical groups for easier navigation.\n- Property suggestion dropdowns now span the full width of the value column, with readable wikilink titles and consistent styling across all property types.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where re-added attachments would incorrectly show \"file does not exist in workspace.\"\n- Fixed pinned view names overlapping other elements.\n- Fixed a zombie pane bug caused by an async cleanup race condition.\n- Fixed sticky group headers in Views switching too early during scroll.\n"

"**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue that prevented drag and drop functionality from working in the file tree.\n"

"\n**Views**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_37_2_views.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- Redesigned the header to include a settings popover, which now houses grouping, group sorting, column selection, and the layout selector.\n- Added support for displaying views as either a Table or a Kanban board (Kanban is only available when a grouping is applied).\n - The Kanban board uses its own card property selections, independent of the columns selected in Table view.\n- You can now search within a view (`CMD/Ctrl + F`) to find any matching values across all cells and columns.\n- When navigating through a view via the preview sheet, the corresponding row is highlighted in the background, and the table or Kanban view automatically scrolls to keep you in the correct location upon exiting the preview.\n- Removed caret visibility in sheets to prevent confusion with read-only mode. Also fixed task items being clickable in read-only sheets.\n\n**DocLink Sheets**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_37_2_doclinks.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- Clicking a doclink (or any linked note in the properties / metasidebar) now opens the linked note in an inline preview sheet — you can read the full note, its properties, and document stats without navigating away from your current note.\n - Navigate between linked notes (in the note) in the sheet using `j` `k` or the up/down icon buttons.\n\n> This behaviour can be tweaked in `Settings → Editor → Doclink Click Behaviour` to switch between `Preview Sheets` and `Open in new tab`\n\n**Graph**\n\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_37_2_graph.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Legend items in the graph view are now clickable — click to show or hide specific node types, making it easier to focus on the connections that matter.\n\n**Performance**\n\n- Significantly reduced idle CPU usage — previously the app could use \\~90% CPU when idle due to cascading file watcher events and unnecessary database writes. Now uses event-driven file watching and skips redundant writes.\n- Upto 2x faster startup time.\n- Reduced background thread overhead from embedding database and file watchers.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Zoom levels now step in finer 5% increments for more precise control.\n- Git sync intervals can now be set to 1, 2, or 3 minutes.\n- Slash commands now include `/tomorrow` for quickly linking tomorrow's daily note.\n- PDF export now correctly renders callouts, highlights, colored text, and HTML embeds.\n- PDF export includes a long-running page option for large documents.\n- Property value suggestions now clean up stale values that are no longer in use.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed git sync failing when branches have diverged — sync now allows merge commits instead of aborting.\n- Fixed macOS traffic lights being displaced on app launch and workspace switch.\n- Fixed system font not applying to header font when `Same as editor font` is chosen.\n- Fixed the backlinks chevron and hide-content behavior.\n- Fixed an issue where strings containing decimal points weren't sorted correctly in Views.\n- Fixed a crash related to table cell rendering.\n- Fixed an issue where the name cell would truncate based on characters and not column width in Views.\n"

"**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where the spacebar was blocked when renaming notes or folders in the tree view.\n"

Prompts have a maximum height to ensure they don’t occupy the entire screen.\n- `Meta Sidebar` — Octarine now saves the last viewed tab in the meta sidebar so that when you reopen it, you land on the same tab (this persists across refreshes and restarts).\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue where text within a markdown link (e.g., `[text]`) caused any subsequent `#` symbol to be erroneously interpreted as a tag.\n- Corrected a bug where the tag command, under specific circumstances, inserted irrelevant or outdated tags from other sections instead of the intended selection.\n- Fixed a problem wherein accessing the Hover Editor (accessible via wikilinks or the Writing Assistant) where mathematical equations in notes would result in being hidden until the note was manually refreshed.\n- Addressed an issue in the Writing Assistant where pressing `Enter` failed to select `/` quick actions when the `CMD + Enter` setting for sending requests was active.\n- On Mac, rectified a fullscreen mode problem that prevented users from accessing the traffic light controls (to exit fullscreen) when hovering over them.\n- Improved IME (Input Method Editor) functionality within the command bar for languages such as Chinese.\n- Fixed a bug that caused the application to freeze upon opening the font selector.\n- Resolved an issue where highlighting text with overlapping colors using `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + H` unexpectedly added random, nonsensical code to the markdown.\n"

"**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue that prevented the input from showing up via the `Rename` option in the context menu.\n- Addressed an issue where changing a folder's icon without altering its color would result in incorrect color translations across different themes.\n"

"**New Themes**\n- `Bright Light` is available to all users.\n- `True Dark` is offered exclusively to Pro License users.\n\n**Improvements**\n- You can now delete daily and weekly notes directly from the calendar’s context menu.\n- The “more options” icon in the daily desk breadcrumb is now hidden if the file doesn’t exist.\n- The attachments popover now includes a `show unused only` switch when unused attachments are present.\n- Improved fallback and error handling when committing fails during git sync backup.\n- Added a new setting to allow choosing between `Current Week` / `Past Week` for generating AI recaps.\n\n**Changes**\n- Markdown storage no longer starts with an empty line.\n- The appearance of checked task items has been changed.\n- Dirty tabs are now indicated by using italicized text only; the `dot` indicator is no longer displayed.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Fixed an issue where empty spaces in workspace names caused the logo to display `undefined`.\n- Deleting daily desk notes now correctly displays a confirmation dialog.\n- Fixed an issue where `remove properties` failed to fully remove the frontmatter, leaving `{}` instead.\n- Resolved certain issues causing mermaid diagrams to fail to display.\n- Fixed a bug where pasting image web links resulted in images appearing twice—once as a web link and once as a local wikilink. Now, only the web link syntax is shown.\n- Creating new folders now properly scrolls to their position and focuses the input accurately.\n- The graph view for workspaces with fewer notes now displays nodes with more space between them, avoiding closely placed nodes.\n- The `view` link for the currently configured git repository in `Settings → GitSync` now works as intended.\n- Fixed an issue where changing workspace settings visually reset the editor content to the last updated value (visual only, no data loss).\n"

"**Hotfix**\n\n- Fix `/` command to insert templates not working.\n"

"\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_30_3_regex_search.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n**Search Filters**\n\n- Both Workspace Search and In-file Search now support filtering results with regular expressions. Click the `regex` icon and enter a regular expression to narrow your search. You can also use Match Word and Match Case options in combination with regex searches.\n- You can limit your search to specific areas, such as `Daily Desk` or `Templates`, using the **Search in** dropdown.\n- When you click on a workspace search result, the filters you applied will now also be used for in-file search, ensuring consistent results.\n\n**Weekly AI Recap**\n\n- The recap now uses the same language as your notes, instead of defaulting to English.\n- The generated recap is now appended to the bottom of the note, instead of replacing the existing content.\n- Fixed an issue where rejecting a recap would delete the entire note instead of restoring the previous version.\n- Fixed an issue where generating a recap would overwrite the properties of the weekly note.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue where scrolling through long workspace search results would cause blank spaces to appear after extensive scrolling.\n- Fixed a problem where moving a note with a comma in its name would fail.\n- Fixed an issue where notes with a leading underscore in their name would not display their links correctly after a refresh.\n- Resolved a bug where changes made outside of Octarine would not update the content in the open tab editor.\n\n**Changes**\n\n- Octarine no longer uses IndexedDB to save or cache full notes on your device. Instead, it always reads data directly from the disk. This makes sure the data is more consistent with the original source and saves disk space by avoiding duplicate storage.\n"

"**LMStudio Provider**\n\n- Added `LMStudio` as a local provider, accessible via `Settings → AI Assistant → AI Providers`.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Settings now open in a dialog box instead of occupying a full screen.\n- Hotkeys now work as intended: Mac-specific `Cmd` shortcuts are no longer triggered by `Ctrl`. For example, `Ctrl + N` on Mac now moves to the next line instead of creating a new note.\n- Enhanced note embedding performance in Ask Octarine: embeddings run in parallel and use no more than 500MB of memory.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved a suspected memory leak that occurred during note embedding in Ask Octarine.\n- Fixed an issue where the Writing Assistant displayed a context selector for previous queries.\n- Fixed the Writing Assistant showing the default file as context for past queries, even when the user had explicitly removed the context.\n- Fixed an issue where custom extensions attached to a note did not appear in the `Linked Files` section of the MetaSidebar.\n- Fixed an issue where custom extensions that were in use were incorrectly marked as *unused* and prompted for deletion in the Attachments popover.\n- Fixed a keyboard conflict where `CMD + Y` would both open the recently viewed popover and redo the last change in the editor on certain keyboards.\n"

"**Unused Attachments clean-up**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_30_1_attachments.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Easily delete any attachments or files not currently used in notes with a single click from the `Attachments popover`.\n\n**Focus Mode**\n\n- New setting `Focus Mode Dimming` is available in `Settings → Preferences`\n - `Sentence` — Retains the existing feature—dims everything except the current sentence.\n - `None` — No dimming; lets you focus when writing in a dedicated dialog.\n- Improved performance of focus mode in `Sentence` dimming mode.\n- Fixed certain elements not being dimmed in `Sentence mode`\n- Fixed `/` and `[[` command bars not being visible in Focus dialog.\n- Focus mode can now be activated via the `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + L` shortcut.\n- Opening focus mode no longer closes sidebars; sidebar states are preserved when you exit.\n- Fixed an issue where edits made in Focus Mode did not appear in the main editor upon reloading due to caching.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_30_1_graph_search.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Added a search input to Graph view for quickly finding connections. Click the `MagnifyingGlass` icon at the top right or press `CMD/Ctrl + F`.\n - Searched terms are highlighted and zoomed in, with other nodes dimmed. If only one exact match is found, it will be maximally zoomed.\n- Research mode now only asks guiding questions if more direction would be helpful — otherwise, it provides an answer based on existing context and query.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed incorrect styling for math rendering.\n- Fixed an issue where blank editors showed a scroll bar, causing the first empty line to be hidden behind the breadcrumb.\n- Fixed a bug where overlapping highlights and colored text did not render correctly after reloading.\n"

Currently available for OpenAI (and `openai-compatible`) models.\n- Turn web search on or off by clicking the globe icon next to the model selector\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- The base context in Writing Assistant can now be removed, which is useful when you don't want responses influenced by the current note's content.\n- Updated the Writing Assistant interface from a boxed layout to a chat-style view. Queries are pinned at the top, and model names are hidden during requests.\n- Slash commands now support Text Color and Highlight options that can be applied directly from your keyboard.\n- The BubbleMenu now displays the current text and highlight color instantly, with added options for `No Color` and `No Highlight` to clear formatting.\n- The collapsed status of the properties panel is now retained across all notes.\n- Long names are now properly truncated in the `CMD/Ctrl + P` menu.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where Brown highlights did not apply any color.\n- Resolved a problem where overlapping highlights or text colors were not parsed correctly after reload.\n- Fixed duplicate math renders for certain equations when loading notes.\n- Corrected an error in changing property types when the property was missing from `properties.json`.\n- Fixed `CMD/Ctrl + P` not returning search results when the query matched a folder name.\n\n**Changes**\n\n- The `Slash Command` for linking notes and attachments is now combined into a single unified command.\n- Renamed `Insert Media` to `Import Media from Finder` and `Attach Files` to `Import Files from Finder`.\n- Made a slight design update to codeblocks.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_29_2_file_tree.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- You can now drag markdown files from your finder over to the tree and have them added to the workspace. Hovering over a folder adds it to that folder.\n- Changed the behaviour of quick note/folder create buttons:\n - Pressing them normally now creates the new note/folder at `root` irrespective of the current tab note’s location.\n - Holding down `CMD/Ctrl` before clicking on the buttons would however create them inside the folder of the current tab’s note.\n\n> No change to how the shortcuts `CMD/Ctrl + N` or `CMD/Ctrl + Shift + N` behave.\n\n- Searching for a `tag` either manually via `#<tag>` in search or via the tag tree, now also surfaces results from the `tags` property in notes.\n- File tree empty spaces now have a new context menu available (on right click) to help create note/folder at `root` .\n- Added `Close other tabs` option to the tab’s context menu (and `CMDK` bar) to close all but that tab in a pane.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where the outline heading clicks in Meta would not scroll to the heading on first load (would after the text was edited).\n- Fixed an issue where meta sidebar would sometimes not show up.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n- Creating wikilinks is now simpler: just wrap the text with `[[` and `]]` without needing to use the command selection.\n- You can now assign properties directly to templates.\n- A new `CMD/Ctrl + K` option, \"Create note from template,\" has been introduced. This creates a new note, following either the Untitled or the unique note naming convention — with the selected template and its properties applied.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Reversed the chevron icons so they correctly indicate the expanded or collapsed state of headings.\n- Fixed an issue where applying a template with empty bullet points using the / command did not work.\n"

"### Properties (Beta)\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_29_0_properties.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\nYou can now create and edit note frontmatter directly in the app! Since this feature\nis in beta, it may not support every workflow and is not the final version. Expect\nfurther improvements in the v0.29 series.\n\n- To add a property row to a note, click the more options button and select `Add property` in the breadcrumb or press `CMD/Ctrl + ;`.\n- Each property can be one of the following types: **Text**, **Number**, **List**, **Date**, **Date & Time**, or **Checkbox**. A special type named `tags` is available only for the reserved keyword `tags`.\n - Any tag created in this property syncs to the Tags Tree sidebar, making it easily accessible in your notes.\n- When adding Text and List properties, the app suggests values that have been used in similar properties across other notes.\n- If you have an AI provider configured, you can use AI to quickly generate property values. The AI analyzes the note’s content, prioritizing existing properties and only creating new ones when needed.\n- Property keys that are no longer in use across any notes are removed from the Tree (except for `tags`, which are always kept), keeping your view clean.\n- Text and List values can include wikilinks to other notes. To add a wikilink, type `[[` and select the desired note.\n- You can rearrange properties by dragging them or by pressing `Option/Alt + Up/Down Arrow`.\n\nWhen the workspace first loads, Octarine attempts to assign types to existing properties based on their values. If an incorrect type is assigned, you can correct it using the type selector in any property row—the change will update everywhere.\n\nYou can view all available properties via the Properties Tree (accessible using the third icon from the top-right in the app).\n\nNote: This release does not support assigning properties to Templates. That functionality will be available in a future update.\n\n> Properties are available only to users with a Pro License. Users without a Pro License will not see the panel or be able to add properties from the app.\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_29_0_paste_properties.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- You can copy properties from one note using the Panel’s more options button. In any note that does not already have properties—and isn’t the same note—you’ll see a `Paste Properties` button for quick insertion.\n\n### Collapsable Headings\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_29_0_collapse_headers.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Headings (H1 through H6) in a note can now be collapsed by clicking the chevron icon beside the header. The collapsed state is maintained across tabs until the app is restarted.\n- Because markdown does not define blocks, the collapsible content follows a simple rule: it includes all data between the collapsed header and the following header.\n- Collapsing a heading takes its hierarchy into account. For example, collapsing an H1 automatically collapses all subordinate headings.\n- Use `CMD/Ctrl + K` to quickly collapse or expand all headers. When using search, any header containing matched data will expand, though it will not collapse automatically afterward.\n\n### Unique Note Names\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_29_0_unique_names.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- You now have an option to create new notes with a specific date format instead of the plain `Untitled`. Enable this by going to `Settings → Files` and toggling the `Create unique note names` setting.\n - You will be provided with an input field to specify your desired date format (a preview is shown). Note that the format cannot include characters forbidden in file names.\n - Once enabled, every new note will follow this naming convention. This feature can be turned off at any time.\n\n### Improvements\n\n- The Tags Tree now includes a search bar for easier filtering, along with a slightly updated design.\n- Clicking on a tag now applies a `match case` filter during searches.\n- The `[[` command dropdown displays more values without requiring you to type first. The number of shown items increased from 5 to 8 and the design has been updated.\n- Various performance improvements have been made across the app.\n- A new toggle has been added under `Settings → Editor → Codeblock Italics` to allow you to enable or disable italicized text within codeblocks when syntax highlighting is applied (default is ON).\n- Performance improvements have also been made to table controls.\n- A new option, `Only note name`, is available at `Settings → Editor → Linked notes display`. This option prevents the folder path from being added to any linked note.\n- The `Shortest name` display for linked notes has been enhanced to check for unique folder/file combinations, ensuring the shortest possible note name is shown.\n- Workspace search now provides more context in the results (up to the end of the line) instead of just showing 15 characters before and after the match.\n\n### Fixes\n\n- Added a graceful fallback for retrieving file system statistics on Linux, preventing crashes on some distributions.\n- Fixed issues with the Hugging Face whitelist on Linux devices and improved model checking functions.\n- Resolved an issue where the layout occasionally shifted upward during a search scroll when the Tags Tree was open (the layout self-corrects once the tree is closed).\n\n### Changes\n\n- `Locked Notes` have been renamed to `Read-only notes`. Although the frontmatter still uses `locked: true`, the icon and labels in the app have been updated.\n- The design for tag command selection has been updated.\n- Clicking on `Notes` or `Templates` in the sidebar now opens temporary tabs (dirty tabs) instead of permanent ones. The empty screen previously shown in those tabs has been replaced with recently viewed items and keyboard shortcuts.\n- Heading guides are now displayed beside the header rather than above it. Additionally, the full-width editor now includes extra horizontal spacing to accommodate the toggle buttons.\n"

"**Improvements**\n- You can now regenerate the weekly AI recap.\n- OpenAI and OpenAI Compatible providers have been separated in settings, allowing them to work in parallel.\n\n**Fixes**\n- Resolved an issue with anthropic models not retrieving the model list from the API.\n- Corrected the problem where custom API servers (eg: openrouter) were not returning data in the Writing Assistant.\n- Fixed a conflict where using `Cmd + Shift + 7/8/9` for lists interfered with tab switching.\n"

"**Fixes**\n\n- Corrected a problem where AI features were unavailable if `openai/ollama` was not configured, even when other providers were successfully set up.\n"

"**Separate Themes for Color Modes**\n\n![System mode color themes](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_28_1_color_schemes.png)\n\n\n- You can now apply different themes to light and dark modes independently through `Settings → Preferences`.\n - These changes are applied instantly when you switch your system's appearance.\n- Use `CMD/Ctrl + K → Change Interface theme` to apply a selected theme to the current color mode.\n\n**Supplementary Information Settings**\n\n![Settings -> Files](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_28_1_file_settings.png)\n\n\n- Two new options are available in `Settings → Files`:\n - **Show directory children count** (default: on): Toggles the display of the total number of notes within a folder, shown next to the folder name.\n - **Show last modified time against notes** (default: off): Toggles the display of the relative last modified time next to the note name.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n![Timestamps shown on hover](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_28_1_timestamps.png)\n\n- The Weekly AI recap now allows you to re-run the prompt if the output is unsatisfactory, with the option to quickly use a different model.\n- Closing a tab now focuses the next adjacent tab in the pane, rather than the first tab.\n- Hovering over notes or folders and using the context menu (right-click) will now display the created and modified dates.\n- Enhanced performance for indexing large workspaces.\n- Improved the performance of locating `config.json` files in folders.\n- Navigating to the next/previous heading using keyboard shortcuts now scrolls the heading to the center of the screen.\n- Clicking on Notes, Daily Desk, or Templates in the sidebar will now open them in `non-dirty` tabs.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- The highlight background for search results in the Keyboard Shortcuts drawer has been corrected.\n- Resolved an issue that caused duplicate \"Notes\" tabs to appear in the same pane when accessing the notes section from the sidebar.\n- Fixed a problem with the Weekly AI recap where the output was not streaming correctly into the editor.\n\n**Changes**\n\n- The Graph and Recently Viewed icons are now disabled when the settings are being viewed.\n"

"### Ask Octarine\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/ask-octarine-create.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- Ask Octarine now features two distinct modes:\n - **Ask:**\n - Works as before by allowing you to chat about your notes.\n - Answers include explicit text from the referenced notes with wikilink references.\n - **Create:**\n - Helps you leverage your notes and Octarine to generate additional notes, draft emails, or create templates.\n - Instead of providing a direct answer, responses offer actionable steps based on attached references.\n - The Create mode has three possible outcomes:\n - **Open in Email** – when the request is recognized as an email.\n - **Create template** – when a reusable template is needed.\n - **Create note** – for summaries, reviews, and more.\n\n- The chat window design has been updated for a more recognizably chat-like experience:\n - User messages now appear as bubbles on the right while responses retain their previous format.\n - References and relevant notes are linked to the response rather than the query.\n - The message box now includes a reference selector and date range selectors at the bottom. Instead of listing every reference, a button shows the label “+ x references”.\n - Any selected folders or note references are moved to the top of the list.\n- Additional improvements:\n - Responses can now be retried.\n - The copy actions have been moved out of a dropdown so that they are always visible.\n\n### Writing Assistant\n\n![Context Changes in Writing Assistant](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/writing_assistant.png)\n\n\n- The Writing Assistant now displays a \"Context Changed\" indicator when context selections or files change within the same chat. This ensures that any previous irrelevant responses are discarded to maintain accuracy.\n- Quick actions for responses now include both `retry` and `delete`.\n- Selected text now displays as \"x ch\" (where x is the number of characters) instead of the full \"x characters\".\n- OpenAI API responses have been improved for a better user experience.\n\n### Folder Customisation\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/folder_customisation.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Folders can now be pinned to stay at the top.\n- Each folder supports its own sorting method, independent of the workspace sorting method.\n- Icons and colors can be assigned to folders for better categorization.\n- All folder settings are stored in a `config.json` file located within the particular folder.\n\n> Available only to Pro License users.\n\n### Improvements\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_28_0_pinned_view.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- Pinned notes and folders now appear in a separate view that spans across Notes, Daily Desk, and Templates. A pin toggle in the tree headers allows you to quickly switch between pinned items and your current view.\n- Search performance has been enhanced for faster results.\n- The `CMD/Ctrl + K` command bar features a refined design:\n - Rows are smaller in height.\n - Note navigation follows the same design used throughout the rest of the app.\n - The \"recently viewed\" list is limited to 10 items, and now displays an icon instead of the text “recently viewed”.\n- The quick action designs for both Writing Assistant and Ask Octarine have been updated for clarity.\n\n### Fixes\n\n- Resolved an issue where creating a new folder did not update its timestamp in the local database, which previously caused sorting issues until a refresh was done.\n- Fixed a bug where auto title generation would fail for both Ask Octarine and Writing Assistant when using `Ollama`.\n- Addressed a problem where clicking outside would not discard the rename operation initiated through the file tree context menu.\n- Fixed an issue where Perplexity AI setup would fail.\n\n### Changes\n\n- The Graph feature has been relocated from the sidebar to the Global breadcrumb as an icon.\n- Reduced the size of H1, H2 and H3 by 4px each.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n- Tasks now have the accent background when checked, and a better looking checkmark icon.\n- **Tables** — `Tab` only cycles through the cells, and no longer creates a new row when pressed on the last cell of the last row. `Enter` only creates a new row when it’s pressed with the cursor on the last row.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed the `/` command not allowing keyboard navigation.\n- Fixed a bug that would cause codeblock styles to spill out of the codeblock and onto text below it causes irregular colors and italics on certain letters.\n- Fixed a bug where codeblock syntax highlighting would be irregular for certain languages.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n- Added an `Insert Media` option to the slash commands, allowing you to open Finder/Explorer and add images or videos to your note. This serves as an alternative to dragging files directly from Finder.\n- Writing Assistant slash commands will now also be included when creating a new workspace using the `use settings from an existing workspace` option.\n- The Octarine window now displays the window name as `<Workspace> - Octarine`. This change is mainly visible in Mac's Mission Control and is helpful for users who rely on app-tracking tools to identify which application they were working in.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue where switching between workspaces could show outdated data in Daily Desk if the previous workspace had entries for a date that were missing in the new workspace.\n- Fixed a bug where formatting options wouldn't apply if no text was selected.\n- Resolved an issue where the caret would not appear in empty task items.\n- Fixed `Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + C` so that it copies content with the correct formatting, matching the behavior of right-click copy in the editor.\n- Addressed a problem where the note cache wasn't updated when moving or renaming a note that had a reference doclink to another note.\n\n**Changes**\n\n- The placeholder will now only appear in completely empty notes, rather than after every empty line.\n"

"**More AI Providers**\n\n![Multiple AI Providers](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_7_providers.png)\n\n- Support for Anthropic, DeepSeek, Google Gemini, Groq, Mistral, Perplexity, Together AI and xAI have been added for use in Writing Assistant and Ask Octarine.\n\n**Slash Commands**\n\n![Slash Command settings](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_7_slash_commands.png)\n\n\n- Slash commands for Writing Assistant are now editable, with the ability to create new ones.\n- Set them up in `Settings → AI Assistant → Slash Commands` . These are immediately available when pressing `/` in writing assistant.\n\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_7_resize.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n\n- Images & Videos can now have their width resized by dragging from the right.\n- Width details are stored in the `[[` text with a pipe character. For example — `[[Image.png|450]]` where 450 is the width in px.\n- You can revert to original size via the `More options` icon on the media breadcrumb.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Added `Monospace Font` setting in `Settings → Preferences` . This affects all monospace fonts in the app.\n- Success and Error toasts are more legible.\n- Limit the amount of recently viewed to 15 so as to not spam `Cmd + P` .\n- You can now press `New Chat` to create a new one even if the current chat is empty in Writing Assistant.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where sidebars would not show up when screen size was less than 768px.\n- Fixed tab tooltips showing the wrong `cmd + <number>` for switching to it.\n"

"**Clone Workspace Settings**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_6_clone_workspace_settings.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\nYou can now create a new workspace by cloning the settings of an existing one. This means you won't have to re-enter details like your AI keys and typography settings. Note that all settings are copied over except for the Git configuration.\n\n**Calendar Week Start Change**\n\n![Calendar Start date change setting](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_6_calendar_week.png)\n\nYou now have the option to choose the starting day of your week. This setting is available under `Settings → Preferences`, and it will affect the Calendar in Daily Desk as well as the date ranges in Weekly Notes.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- You can create a linked note by selecting text and clicking the + icon in the BubbleMenu. This action creates a new blank note named after the selected text and automatically links it to your current note.\n- The languages available for codeblocks are now sorted alphabetically.\n- On smaller screens, the settings breadcrumb now features a dropdown menu for switching settings instead of relying on the sidebar.\n- Both the note context menu and the breadcrumb options now include an “Open in Default App” option, accessible via `CMD + K` as well.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where hovering over days outside the current month did not display the hover card content.\n- Resolved a bug where multiple code blocks would be created on each line when a block of text was selected and the codeblock option was used.\n- Fixed an issue that caused notes to crash when typography styles were reduced in settings, until all styles were reactivated.\n- Addressed an issue where searching weekly notes using the `[[` command returned no results.\n- Corrected the misalignment of sidebar resize handles when the app was zoomed in.\n- Fixed the paper type backgrounds being applied to tables.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n- You can now move a selected section or the line your cursor is on up or down using `Option/Alt + ArrowUp` and `Option/Alt + ArrowDown`.\n- You can now duplicate a selected section or the current line upward or downward using `Shift + Option/Alt + ArrowUp` and `Shift + Option/Alt + ArrowDown`.\n- The keyboard shortcuts cheat sheet now supports fuzzy search.\n- The BubbleMenu includes an option to add a URL to selected text.\n- You can now save an entire Ask Octarine thread to a note using the breadcrumb.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue in Windows where daily desk links did not display names.\n- Addressed a bug that prevented the delete confirmation dialog from appearing when the sidebar was hidden.\n- Fixed a problem where the attached link URL was not visible in the floating container.\n- Corrected an error that affected startup when upgrading from very old versions.\n"

"![Linked Notes Display Options in Editor Settings](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_4_linked_notes_options.png)\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- A new setting allows you to change how a linked note is displayed. If you select \"Shortest Name,\" only the file name appears _unless_ a file with a similar name exists elsewhere in the workspace.\n - Accessible via `Settings → Editor → Linked Notes Display`\n - The markdown storage remains unchanged. (Default: Full Path)\n- You can now create and link uncreated daily desk notes using the `[[` command.\n- The CMDK now includes tab options to move, split, and close tabs.\n- Video playback now syncs between normal and fullscreen modes, allowing you to resume exactly where you left off.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue where the file tree sometimes did not display all items when its height nearly matched the window's height, even if a scroll bar was unnecessary.\n- Fixed a problem where the font selector menu would overflow when displaying long font names.\n- Corrected a bug that prevented note creation from broken doclinks if any folder in the path did not exist.\n- Addressed an error where nested tags could not be expanded in the Tags sidebar.\n"

"**Improvements**\n\n- A new App settings section now includes an option to always keep Octarine on top of other windows. You can enable this by pressing `CMD/Ctrl + K` and selecting \"Keep always on top of other windows.\"\n- Octarine now renders queries correctly, including respecting newline characters.\n- Improved heading guides spacing.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Resolved an issue where applied paper types were not being displayed.\n- Fixed a bug in which renaming a file did not correctly update the cache for all referenced wiki links, resulting in missing renders.\n- Corrected the problem where wikilinks pointing to missing files failed to display the broken link button.\n- Fixed an issue where pressing `Cmd + J` after selecting text did not add it to context unless the Writing Assistant sidebar was open.\n- Addressed the horizontal overflow in the meta sidebar caused by longer file names.\n- Fixed the \"insert at cursor\" function in the Writing Assistant, which previously did nothing.\n- Resolved the issue where the \"Lock Note\" feature in Daily Desk did not lock the note.\n- Fixed the \"Open Models Directory\" function during the Ask Octarine manual download flow so that it now opens the directory correctly.\n"

"**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed a bug where `Create Template` threw an error.\n- Fixed a bug where locked notes would not show the Lock icon in the file tree.\n- Fixed `Cmd + Shift + E` not toggle switching focus between the tree and the current tab.\n"

"**Split Panes & Tabs**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_0_tabs.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\nEverything is a tab! A major part of the app has been rewritten to move away from single viewing notes to a tabs & split pane architecture.\n\n- Notes, Graph and Ask Octarine are now opened as `tabs` instead of individual entities.\n- Multiple panes and layouts are supported — both horizontal and vertical.\n- Tabs can be re-arranged in a pane via dragging them horizontally, or can be moved to a completely different split/pane via:\n - Dragging them over.\n - Using the context menu (right click) to either **Split it** (duplicates the tab into a new split) or **Move it** (moves it from pane A to B).\n- Each tab provides multiple keyboard shortcuts to:\n - Open New Tab — `Cmd/Ctrl + T`\n - Cycle between tabs in a pane — `Cmd/Ctrl + Tab`\n - Jump to a specific tab — `Cmd/Ctrl + <1 to 9>` (where the number is the position of the tab in the pane)\n - Split the tab horizontally — `Cmd + \\`\n - Split the tab vertically — `Cmd + Shift + \\`\n - Close the tab — `Cmd/Ctrl + W`\n- Each tab has the following internal properties that define how they interact or behave:\n - **Focused tab** — It's the tab that you are currently using for either editing or interacting with. Can only be ONE at a time irrespective of the amount of panes available. Focused tab are also active by definition. _Identified by the tab having an accent border at the top._\n - **Active tab** — Each pane has an active tab, which is essentially the tab that is currently visible. Each pane will only have ONE active tab at a time. _Identified by the tab having a grey border on top IF not focused._\n - **Dirty tab** — When opening a tab via the file tree / calendar by clicking on the file button or via the linked notes in the meta sidebar, they are treated as dirty. These are temporary tabs that can be replaced by the next tab you open in a similar fashion. To mark them permanent, use the context menu (right click on the tab) and press `Protect from Replacement`. Alternatively, if you start typing in the editor, the tab becomes permanent as well. _Identified by the tab title being italic in style and a dot beside it's name._\n - Tabs opened via `Cmd + P` / `Cmd + T` / Doclinks in Note / `Open in new tab` via the file context menu are not dirty by nature.\n- Each pane is now equipped with `Back / Forward` buttons that keep a history of the tabs in the pane and move between them. Closing a tab and press `Back` would re-add the tab back in.\n\n**Performance**\n\n- Part of the update was changing the way, the app interacted with notes and the internal database. Improved performance of file loads between tab switches to be near instant.\n- Rewrote calculations for image/video loading to be instant and not require a round-trip check causing glitches in the past.\n- Improved performance of file tree for large workspaces to not lag when the sidebar was open during interaction.\n\n**Focus Mode**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_0_focus_mode.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Due to the introduction of tabs, focus mode has now been revamped to be a dialog that takes over the entire screen rather than be congested to a small pane.\n- Changed the interaction from paragraph based (which could span multiple lines) to a sentence based one for better focused writing (every period, question mark, exclamation point acts the start and end of a focus)\n- Reduced opacity of inactive/unfocused text, fixed `code` blocks and bullet lists not being hidden properly.\n\n**Attachments**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_27_0_video_fullscreen.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Images and Videos follow a fixed width/height in the note rather than being stretched the entire width of the window.\n- A fullscreen button has been added to allow viewing them in a larger space on a case-by-case basis.\n- Changed design to have the caption be at the top rather than the bottom.\n- Loading of video/images are cached so as to feel near instant when switching tabs.\n- Context menu added for opening in finder, viewing fullscreen and deleting the attachment from the note.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Codeblocks can now be collapsed/minimised. When doing so with Mermaid diagrams, the diagram is visible, with just the codeblock being hidden. Changes are saved for the session across tabs.\n- Changed recently viewed and linked notes design for showing notes within folders.\n- FPS counter is more stable now rather than fluctuating heavily on multiple ticks per second.\n- Images now support `.webp` format.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed codeblock syntax highlighting not working for a lot of languages. Reduced the count of the languages supported to be in accordance with prism.\n- Fixed a bug where on Windows typing would sometimes be overridden with the last typed text.\n- Fixed a bug where linking notes in Daily Desk would crash the app intermittently.\n- Fixed an issue where external files would show up in the `[[` command list.\n"

"**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where the app would fail at startup for new users.\n"

"**System Fonts**\n\n- You can now choose any of your system included fonts for both the interface as well as editor.\n\n**Typography Scaling**\n\n![Editor Typography Options](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_26_7_typography.png)\n\n- Adjust font size, line height and letter spacing for the editor.\n\n**Callout Blocks**\n\n![Multiple Callout Options](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_26_7_callout.png)\n\n- 5 new callout blocks are available — Info, Warning, Error, Success and Tip.\n- They behave similar to Blockquote in syntax and follow the Github approved notation.\n- Available via the `/` command and the bubble menu.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Ask Octarine now supports adding individual notes as context.\n- `Go to <setting>` options have been added to `CMDK` .\n- Git Sync now has a 3 retry mechanism added in case of errors before it disables the auto sync.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where Zooming in/out would hide the file tree list, and cause the calendar to be misaligned.\n"

"**Weekly AI Recap (Pro)**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/0_26_6_weekly_ai_recap.mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- Each weekly note can now include AI-assisted recaps based on the daily notes from the previous week.\n- Clicking on `Generate Recap` allows you to choose one of two formats:\n - Thematic — where the AI analyzes patterns and goals from the day notes.\n - Daily — where the content is arranged chronologically by day.\n- Once generated, you can either `Accept` or `Reject` these changes. Rejecting will wipe the AI recap and allow you to try again, while accepting will set it and hide the button for the week (you would need to delete the note if you wish to retry).\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Improved follow-up logic for Ask Octarine. It now gives more preference to references used in the previous response, and if no relevant data is found, extends its search to other notes.\n- Improved the design of suggested prompts to be more minimal.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where Writing Assistant did not properly consider follow-ups with the last response data. It now behaves just like a proper chat app.\n- Fixed an issue where a title was not automatically generated for Ask Octarine chats after creating a new chat.\n\n**Changes**\n\n- Changed the behavior of `copy` in the app. `Cmd/Ctrl + C` now copies WITHOUT formatting, while `Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + C` copies WITH formatting.\n- Removed shadows from the app.\n"

"**Performance**\n\n<video autoPlay loop muted playsInline>\n <source\n src=\"https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/File%20Tree%20Performance%20improvements%20between%20v0.26.5%20(Left)%20and%20v0.26.4%20(Right).mp4\"\n type=\"video/mp4\"\n />\n</video>\n\n- The file tree for Notes, Templates, and Changelog now renders and scrolls more smoothly:\n - Navigation via scrolling or keyboard is faster and more responsive.\n - It uses fewer system resources.\n- Workspace Search now renders search results more efficiently, even when the list is extremely large.\n\n**Typography Settings**\n\n![Settings showing typography selection](https://pub-d9b2979edab5442388c14f8014e177b7.r2.dev/Settings%20showing%20typography%20selection.png)\n\n- In `Settings → Editor`, you'll now find a dedicated Typography section. You can disable all typography enhancements (such as refined display for copyright symbols, trademarks, fractions, emdashes, etc.) or choose to enable only the specific ones you prefer.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- **Workspace Search**\n - The Recently Searched list is now accessible via the keyboard. Press `DownArrow` to focus on the list, then press `Enter` to re-run a search.\n - You can navigate search results with the keyboard without needing to press `Tab` first. Don’t worry, Octarine manages the download and storage for you.\n- After your entire workspace is indexed into smaller text chunks, you can start chatting.\n- Octarine intelligently parses your intent. It understands whether you need to summarize, explain, consolidate, analyze, review tasks/todos, or check your Daily Notes. Check the in-app Tips for guidance.\n- Access it via the sidebar button or use the `Cmd + O` shortcut.\n- Narrow your query by using the @ symbol to focus on specific folders.\n- Each chat is divided into multiple messages, with each message able to invoke a different AI model or context:\n - Each message indicates the context it used (if provided) or a date range if the query is time-focused.\n - Responses list `references` that show which notes were considered for your query.\n - You can copy responses in Markdown (for Octarine notes) or plain text.\n- After the first response, Octarine generates a title for the chat; you can edit or regenerate it using the Sparkles icon.\n- Empty chats offer suggested prompts based on a random selection of folders with notes for one-click analysis, summarization, or explanations.\n\n_Ask Octarine is currently in beta_ and will be improved in future updates. Some queries may not produce exactly what you expect, so your feedback is crucial. Please create a ticket on Github with any feedback.\n\n**Global History**\n\n- The Writing Assistant (sidebar) now shows global history across all chats instead of just the current file.\n- Clicking on a history entry takes you to both the chat and its associated file.\n- Empty chat screens display Quick History (the last three chats) for fast access.\n\n**Improvements**\n\n- Switching between notes in the Daily, Notes, and Templates tabs is now faster.\n- File opening from the graph view has been optimized.\n- The `Migrate Tasks` button has moved to inside the Daily notes breadcrumb for better accessibility.\n- The Meta sidebar and Writing Assistant buttons have been relocated from the notes breadcrumb to the global one.\n- A refreshed splash screen shows Recently Viewed items and keyboard shortcuts for quick access.\n- Selecting text and pressing the Writing Assistant button or `Cmd + J` now retains highlighting even when focus leaves the editor. This highlighting shows exactly what the LLM will consider and is removed when the sidebar is collapsed or the context selection is cleared.\n- The error screen now allows you to switch workspaces if an error occurs.\n- Writing Assistant queries are now selectable and respect line breaks.\n\n**Fixes**\n\n- Fixed an issue where the Writing Assistant wouldn’t work with Ollama set up but without an OpenAI API key.\n- Fixed an issue where the code block language could be changed in read-only notes.\n- Fixed a bug where the Writing Assistant’s Context Selector didn’t scroll when using keyboard up/down arrows.\n- The model selector now displays a warning color when \"No model selected\" is shown.\n- Fixed an issue where the Writing Assistant’s input was cropped out on windows smaller than 768px.\n- Fixed a bug where the Workspace switcher was hidden behind the sidebar on windows smaller than 768px.\n- Fixed a bug where triggered Focus Mode did not collapse the open sidebars automatically.\n\n**Changes**\n\n- The FPS counter no longer displays an average FPS.\n- The help button for the Writing Assistant has moved from beside the title to beside the send button in the input box.\n- New packages for Ask Octarine have slightly increased the overall package size.\n- Icon sizes for the Global breadcrumb have been reduced.\n- Ask Assistant is now renamed to **Writing Assistant**.\n- The attachments icon has been restored to the `Photos` icon.\n- The function that watches for changes will now skip over templates.\n"
